Houston, USA – 29 October 2019 -- Fairfield Geotechnologies has completed acquisition of the Waynesburg III multi-client 3D program in southwestern Pennsylvania and northwestern West Virginia. Located in Marshal and Ohio Counties, WV and Washington Counties, PA, the 120 square mile program will add to Fairfield Geotechnologies’ growing multi-client library in the Appalachian Basin.
The Waynesburg III survey will provide high fold, full azimuth subsurface coverage necessary for high resolution seismic imaging of the primary objective Marcellus Formation. The survey will be processed by Fairfield Geotechnologies to optimize the data for elastic inversion and subsequent analysis and prediction of reservoir properties specifically within the Marcellus Formation. Delivery of a fast-track image is expected for early Q1 2020 and final pre-stack time migration in Q2 2020.
Joe Dryer, President – Multi-Client and Geosciences, Fairfield Geotechnologies, said: “We are highly experienced in delivering quality data in challenging areas and we expect this survey will give operators the ability to confidently manage their reservoir development programs. We fully anticipate the Waynesburg III survey to anchor future growth in the Appalachian Basin”.
